Happy Hour
Madhouse Theater Company
Theater, 60 minutes
Philly Fringe
Belly up to the bar and have a drink with Madhouse's Happy Hour by John Stanton. A shot of laughter, a splash of fun, and a twist of the outrageous. The perfect Fringe cocktail!
John Stanton, co-artistic director of Madhouse Theater Company, started a theater company as a way to produce his plays and decided to use the Philly Fringe as his springboard. Madhouse produced his first full length play Head Case in the 2000 Philly Fringe. Subsequently, they produced other Stanton works at Fringe: No Show in 2001, Head Case again in 2002, and 3Sum in 2003. By this time, Madhouse was producing shows in other venues but continued to Fringe it: Late Night Snack 2004 and Squid and Fishy by Ralph Tropf in 2005. Madhouse took some time off from Fringing but are happy to be back in the 2009 Philly Fringe with their production of John’s Happy Hour at Fergie’s Pub.
