Six unemployed circus workers seek refuge in the Bar Camera Blanca when economic collapse lays waste to their country. Their interlocking stories unfold simultaneously, and the audience is free to choose which characters to follow. It's a play without a stage, a show that can't go on.

Please be aware that the schedule for It's Hard Times at the Camera Blanca has changed.
Applied mechanics examines the response of bodies or systems of bodies to external forces. Some examples of mechanical systems include the flow of a liquid under pressure, the fracture of a solid from an applied force, or the vibration of an ear in response to sound. A practitioner of the discipline is known as a mechanician.

Rebecca Wright and Maria Shaplin are Applied Mechanics. They collaborate with actors to create original performance experiments in the environmental-installation-parallel-narrative style. In It’s Hard Times At The Camera Blanca, they have collaborated with Philadelphia-based actors Thomas Choinacky, Jill Horan, Jessica Hurley, John Jarboe, Matthew Rohner, Anjoli Santiago, Wendy Staton, and Bob Stineman.
